## About

Pål Eide is a Norwegian concert pianist who has been based in Denmark since 1990. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Tom Ernst and José Ribera, at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with Tatiana Nikolayeva and Naum Starkmann, and later with Jirí Hlinka in Oslo. His career has taken him from Siberia to Carnegie Hall, where he made his debut at Weill Recital Hall together with cellist Tobias van der Pals in 2022.

## Current Projects

- **Beyond Belle – A Timeless Dream**: A solo piano programme weaving 24 lyrical pieces from nearly two centuries into a continuous musical flow without pauses. Repertoire includes Grieg, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Ravel, and contemporary Nordic composers Jesper Koch, Ejnar Kanding, Frederik Zeuthen, and Lars Audun Hadland. World premiere: Deià International Music Festival, Mallorca, 27 May 2026.

- **Van der Pals & Eide**: Duo with cellist Tobias van der Pals. Carnegie Hall debut 2022 (Weill Recital Hall) presenting the rediscovered Cello Sonata by Leopold van der Pals.
- **Petri & Eide**: Duo with recorder virtuoso Michala Petri.
- **Bugge Rasmussen & Eide**: Duo with mezzo-soprano Nana Bugge Rasmussen, focused on lieder repertoire.
- **Nordstad & Eide**: Duo with mezzo-soprano Astrid Nordstad. Collaboration began with NRK broadcast *Grieg – Minutt for Minutt*.
